The ShamRoute captain app · Last updated 2026-09-13 · The Arabic text is the original; this is its translation.

This page explains what the ShamRoute app knows about you if you are a delivery captain, why, and who sees it.

Who is responsible for your data

ShamRoute is a system delivery companies use to run their orders and their captains. The company you work for is responsible for your data: it created your account, and it decides what is kept about you and why. ShamRoute processes that data on the company's behalf and on its instructions, and does not use it for any purpose of its own.

What the app collects

  • Your name and phone number. Your company enters them when it creates your account. The phone number is how you sign in, together with your PIN, and how your manager reaches you.
  • Your precise location, only while your shift is on. When you start a shift, the app sends your phone's location so your manager can see your route on the map and hand out orders. This continues even when the app is closed or not in use, and the shift notification stays on your phone the whole time. When you end the shift, sending your location stops. The app does not collect your location outside a shift.
  • Your phone's notification token. A number the phone's system issues so that a new-order notification can reach you. It does not reveal your name or your phone number.
  • Crash reports. If the app stops because of an error, a technical report about it is sent: the phone model, the system version, the app version, and what the app was doing at that moment. It is used only to fix the error.
  • What you record while working. The orders you pick up and deliver and their statuses, notes, and the amounts recorded on your balance. This is your company's work record.

ID photos

If your company asks for a photo of your ID or another document, the photo is kept in private storage that no public link can open, and only people your company allows can see it. It is held for the company alone and is not used for anything else.

Who sees your data

  • Your company's managers, and whoever the company allows.
  • ShamRoute's technical team, only when that is needed to run the system or to fix a fault.
  • Google's Firebase service, only to deliver notifications and to collect crash reports.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it for advertising.

How long your data is kept

Your data is kept for as long as your employment record exists at your company. The detailed location from your shifts is deleted automatically after 30 days; the route of each order you delivered stays with that order in the company's records. To delete your account, read Delete your account.
